Montessori Methodology
Dr. Maria Montessori spent the greater part of her life studying the natural development of
the child. Montessori’s well renowned and well respected research was what she used to
create the Montessori Method.

The Montessori method is an educational approach that focuses on child-centered learning, where children learn at their own pace through hands-on experiences. Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, it emphasizes independence, respect, and the development of critical thinking skills. In Montessori classrooms, teachers act as guides, offering individualized support while children explore materials and concepts that match their interests and developmental needs. This method fosters a love for learning, encourages selfmotivation, and helps children develop both academic and social skills in a collaborative, mixed-age environment. Research shows that Montessori students tend to be more confident, independent, and engaged in their learning journey.
At Aunty Montessori, we create a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning, meeting children where they are during this critical period of development (ages 2.5 to 6). Through hands-on materials and real-life experiences, we help children explore, discover, and master new concepts at their own pace, while also fostering social skills, emotional intelligence, and confidence. By the time they graduate, our students are well-prepared academically and socially, leaving with a strong foundation in reading, math, cultural studies and critical thinking, as well as a deep respect for themselves and others. We warmly invite your little learner to become a part of our learning community, where they will grow, explore, and thrive in a supportive and engaging environment.
