“Providing Montessori education that is inclusive and accessible to all learners.”
Cultivating Independent, Critical Thinkers
“Fostering independence and critical thinking in every child.”
Creating Environments Where Play Becomes Learning
“Designing spaces where play and education are seamlessly integrated.”
At Aunty Montessori, our mission is to provide Montessori education that is inclusive, accessible, and tailored to the unique needs of every child. We believe that every learner, regardless of background or ability, deserves the opportunity to thrive in an environment that fosters growth, curiosity, and a love of learning. Our commitment is to create educational spaces where independence is not only encouraged but celebrated, cultivating critical thinkers who approach challenges with confidence and creativity. We aim to design classrooms and learning environments that seamlessly integrate play with education, recognizing that play is an essential part of the learning process. Through hands-on exploration, self-directed learning, and a focus on holistic development, Aunty Montessori seeks to nurture well-rounded individuals who are prepared to think critically, act thoughtfully, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. Our vision is to create a community where Montessori education is accessible to all, empowering every child to reach their full potential. By fostering an environment that blends play and learning, and by nurturing independent thinkers, we aim to build a future where each child develops the skills, confidence, and passion they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

OUR APPROACH
Aunty Montessori follows Dr. Maria Montessori’s educational philosophy, which is built on a deep respect for the natural development of the child, emphasizing the importance of self-directed learning and a prepared environment that nurtures independence, curiosity, and intrinsic motivation. We believe that children are active participants in their learning, with a natural drive to explore, absorb, and make sense of the world around them. Montessori’s approach emphasizes the idea that education should not be a process of filling a child with information, but rather a process of guiding them to discover knowledge for themselves. The role of the guide is to observe, gently direct, and facilitate, rather than instruct in the traditional sense, allowing the child to take ownership of their learning. Central to the Montessori philosophy is the concept of the sensitive periods, specific windows of time when a child is particularly receptive to certain types of learning, which should be respected and nurtured. The Montessori method incorporates carefully designed materials and activities that engage the senses, promote critical thinking, and foster physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development. The curriculum spans practical life skills, sensorial exploration, language, mathematics, cultural studies, arts, and movement, all of which are interwoven to form a holistic, childcentered approach. Dr. Montessori believed that education is the key to social change, and that by fostering a love of learning, respect for others, and a sense of responsibility, children can develop into compassionate, capable individuals who contribute positively to society. And at Aunty Montessori, we thrive each and every day to do just that.
