Why Was Aunty Montessori Started…
Hi, I’m Marissa, founder of Aunty Montessori. I started Aunty Montessori when I began searching for a Montessori preschool for my niece and nephew. I quickly realized that these schools were far out of my reach—especially for two kids.
Even though the cost of Montessori in NYC wasn’t tangible for me, I still wanted them to have this incredible educational experience. So, I enrolled in a Montessori teaching program and decided to teach the little kiddos myself.
In the process, I decided I wanted to do whatever I could to make as many children as possible have access to this amazing method of learning—just as Dr. Maria Montessori intended. That’s why I created Aunty Montessori’s Children’s House—to bring an affordable, high-quality Montessori preschool to families who want their children to thrive.
I was simply an aunt who wanted the most nurturing, caring, and educational preschool experience for my niece and nephew.
